Degenerative Conditions of the Cervical, Thoracic and Lumbar Spine
Members of the Metropolitan Group are trained in diagnosis, treatment, and management of degenerative conditions of the spine. Dr. Fraser Henderson is fellowship trained in degenerative congenital conditions of the craniocervical junction and spine.
Craniocervical conditions include Chiari malformation, craniocervical instability, Ehlers Danlos Syndrom and other ,connective tissue disorders, basilar invagination, atlantoaxial subluxation, odontoid fractures, Jefferson fractures, instability arising as the result of rheumatoid arthritis and other degenerative conditions.
Cervical spine conditions of the cervical spine include cancer, instability, stenosis, spondylosis, foraminal stenosis, disc herniations, cervical subluxation, and deformity.
Thoracic spine conditions include compression fractures due tocancer, osteoporosis, deformity of the spine due to fractures or trauma, spinal cord tethering and transdural cord herniation, compression of the spinal cord due to thoracic spondylosis , stenosis or deformity
Lumbar conditions include tethered cord, cancer, instability, disc herniation, spondylolisthesis, and foraminal stenosis. Our team is experienced with microsurgical and minimally invasive treatment of these conditions.
Sacral conditions include Tarlov cyst syndrome, cancer, sacroiliac instability
